The Continuous Annealing & Galvanizing Line was commissioned by CRM group in 1988.  Since then, many technical additions and improvements were realised to increase its flexibility and meet customers’ requests.

Examples of former developments:

• GA galvanealing (square cycle, misting jets)
• Zn floater, Zn quenching
• Oxydation for HSS
• Powder spraying onto liquid Zn
• EMG motion of zinc / dross
• Special wiping (EMG by CRM, hydrodynamic systems)
• Fast heating by induction
• On line carburising / nitriding
• Controlled quenching, notably the Howaq and Twice processes which are now industrially applied to produce (Ultra) High Strength Steels
